That's quite a good one anyway as it goes, the cravendale one's would be very good as they are white....

Shirt collar stiffeners make good labels (need to buy a lot of shirts mind you)

milk bottles are good but last year they got washed away with sharpies ink in mine.
other best way (if you are bit greener) is  to not to use plastic but use ICE lolly sticks. which means you dont need to pick the plastics from your plot.
I have a diary this year rather than going for labels. :)
One kid is handful. Two kids.... Example for chaos theory. Hats off to my mum who managed three...

I draw a plan of the patch and record the names on that.  I have labels, which use indelible markers, which I use on seedlings in pots etc., but once planted out I mark up the plan and put the labels away for next year. In the past the labels have got eaten by the dog / break because they get brittle in the sun, faded in the sun etc., so have not really been all that much good.

milk bottle plastic is a bit too bendy, I find. Marge tub plastic works better..........I am using quite a fetching shade of yellow this week  :)

I use cut-up milk containers to make labels but I use them only for seed trays and pots. When I plant out I make a note of what's where in my diary. Just been looking at my last years entries - it's amazing what you forget, or maybe it's just me.   ???

There is a business near me making signs for shops etc and they have oodles of stiff white plastic off-cuts.  ::)  Have a look in your local telephone book, you may have one also.   Cheers,   Tony.

Mum beat me to it - use pencil every time  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Yup, pencil for me too. Never seems to come off in the rain but comes off if rubbed so you can reuse them.
