Just found 3 bags of lily bulbs in the garage (I knew I'd put them somewhere...!!), what are the chances of them flowering this year if I pot them up tomorrow? Thanks as always, Jude.

More chance if you plant them than if you don't  :lol:

It really depends on just how dried out the bulbs are. If you bought the bulbs this year, then they should go out now but they really do need time to set roots so they can flower. A hole with some very good soil, mounded a bit so water won't pool and rot the bulb, and some regular watering just might get you some flowers this year. If you have any mycorrhizal powder, throw a handful of that into the hole before you set in the bulb. It will encourage lots of feeder roots.
