wet garden
« on: March 26, 2010, 21:01 »
I have a very wet area at the bottom of the garden (made worse by this winter's rains).  I have used an aerator at about 12" spacing and have a Pear tree and a bamboo established.

Are there any other useful 'thirsty plants' I could try to drink up some of that moisture?

It's against the law in Australia to fornicate with a kangaroo.................unless you are drunk!!!  Otherwise, it'd be disgusting :@

Ligularias, both the yellow rocket and Britt-Marie Crawford variety are real slurpers, as are as are a few grasses like carex. Hollies and dogwood love wet feet, so does Joe Pye Weed (eupatorium).
