Very good pick-up from a bit of skip diving and knocking on doors this weekend.

At a house round the corner from us there was skip with loads of boards so knock on the front door no answer so have a quick look boards definately worth coming back for so off down the lottie for a bit. On the way home car in the drive, so knock on door " Can I have that wood in the skip?" Yep no prob take what you want " Two trips later a load of 6" board on me lottie. Some was bit rough and rotten, so cut all the bad stuff out ended up with abouyt 100 ft usable for edging beds.

Yesterday coming up the lane noticed the industrial unit where some pallets were leaned on the wall looked open. Nipped in knocked on the door "Does tha' want those pallets?" "Nope take 'em save me paying to have took"  Result 9 good pallets to shift over the next few days.


Who says asking doesn't pay ? I'm well chuffed.
