This is my Cattlianthe Golden Wax, which I have owned continuouslysince 1985. I've named this clone 'Allison Irene', after Mrs. Subversive.
The second photo shows what I am growing it in. Yes, that is 100% wine corks. Plastic wine corks, to be specific. Before you mark me as a complete nutter (fair point actually), I'll explain why. Many types of orchids like their roots exposed, and when watered, to have their roots dry completely. This is a perfect solution for that type of orchid, I thought of it a few years ago.
