How difficult is it to move one of these :?  ... it's being swamped by the neighbours hedge ... can't cut that !!  :(

We replanted an old one a few years ago, well moved it to my MIL's garden without any problems. :)

Just moved 2 from my neighbours garden to ours last year, they move OK secret is to get a big a rootball as possible, keep well watered and personally I would reduce the amount of top growth by half, this will ease the stress on the roots.

I'd agree with Richy.  I've sometimes pruned them quite hard.  It might cause you not to have flowers the next year but the plant will grow more vigorously after transplanting.
