Forced Hyacinths
« on: January 29, 2008, 16:17 »
I've got two forced hyacinths which have finished flowering.  I'm planning to put them in the garden to flower next spring.  What should I do with them now?  Do I stop watering them and let them die down?  Do I continue to water them (and let them die down)?  Do I harden them off and put them outside to be watered by the rain and die down when they are ready or what?

Any time I've done this, I've just planted them outside straight away and they've been fine.

I do that as well and they'll just follow natural cycles.

Same here, the forced ones I planted out last year are just coming through now (watch them, they're slug magnets!!)
First timer, NOT enjoying the backache anymore!
