Early start and just picked the last of the turnips and mint.
Picked a large bowl of strawberries.

Roast lamb today with all home grown veg;
Roast potatoes/parsnips (frozen from my last years crop), new Charlotte potatoes, runner/hunter/french cobra/sonesta beans, baby carrots, turnips, red/white chard and rosemary sprinkled over the lamb.
Strawberries for afters, to be drizzled with a little cream.

Just chopping mint to make batches of mint sauce and freeze some in ice cubes for the over winter raita.
Freezing turnips too.

Veg korma planned for later, based around the courgette glut (we only have 2 plants this year and I still have a glut?  ::) ).  Rice and beetroot curry to accompany.

Nothing for me, I pigged out on Paella, crepes, the Mexican doughnut things
at Cowes this afternoon.  Lovely sat on the seafront in the sun watching the yachties, drinking a pint of lager, listening to the live music and stuffing my face.  :D

Some for tea some for the freezer. I melted some Mozzarella over the bit for today  :)
Mopped up the juices with HM crusty bread.

Last night was (bargain) roast chicken for us, with steamed beet greens and potatoes.

More of the chicken planned for tonight, cold with beetroot (see a pattern here?  ::)  grew too many!) gratin and beans and steamed spuds.

The freezer situation is daft - every time I pull some protein out (meat, cheese ..) I fill the space with veggies or fruit.  Healthy diet over the winter I suppose.  But veggies take up more space per meal ...

Leftover lamb used in curry last night and in a moussaka tonight.
Just swapped a load of my french cobra beans for a couple of a neighbours aubergines.
Will layer it with some of my Duke of York new potatoes.
Will serve with my french cobra, runner and hunter beans.

Pheasant cobbler here (aka leftover stew with a scone topping!), with beet greens.  There is a jam kettle of beetroot simmering on the cooker at the moment, to go in the freeer (where?   )  Have to get them lifted before the critters eat the lot.

Last night was a bacon and chicken risotto, with a few mange touts chucked in for contrast.  Lots of parmesan.  Good comfort food for a thoroughly damp day!

Tonight is a sinful trip to the chippy on the way home ....  don't tell!   :nowink:

I've been called into job no.2 for extra nights this week, so tea has been a late and fairly snack affair.  Back there tonight but chips on the way home sounds like a plan I may have to copy ... I promise not to tell

Last night was a bit of a fridge eat up - cold chicken, beetroot gratin, mixed beans (after a freezing session), steamed charlottes.  Oh and some stuffing balls.

Tonight will be stuffed courgette (it hid and grew  ) on sliced buttered potatoes.  With steamed beet greens.
