I had big back tooth removed, this morning, so goodness knows if I'll be able to manage anything for tea

Ouch ouch ouch   That does sound nasty  :(

Have you got a tin of custard or rice pudding in the cupboard?

Well that is better than nothing, but only just  ::)  I think you need a nice treat tea tomorrow to make up for it  ;)  Forget the dinner and cook yourself a bread and butter pudding.  That would be a better bet if you want nice soggy bread  :D

Id go with the rice pudding option too.  :tongue2: You could make it savoury - I think the posh people call it risotto   definitely spoon food until things heal over.

I rather fancy beans on toast tonight - better get a loaf started !

A whizzed up haddock fillet, in parsley sauce over some mash, should go down easily enough  ;)

Friday Fish night was kippers and a load of fresh picked charlotte potatoes and spinach.

Helping a neighbour remove old and build a new larger greenhouse today.
He has carefully put some large rolling planks underneath his tomatoes and cucumber beds in the old greenhouse for moving to the new one, which will be four feet to the side.

Just made two large mince, potato and turnip pies for our lunch. A quick 30 mins in the oven, so not holding us up too much.

Spaghetti Bolognaise with the rest of the mince for tea.

Another butcher this morning - all prepacked trays again  :(  Picked up a pound of his pork and black pudding sawhedges everything else looked too pink and wet.

Did those tonight with the oven chips  I picked up on the way back ( I knew I was going to be lazy today),  they weren't bad for 70p each, made a nice change.

Yearning for some 'proper' food, so had some finely chopped chicken and veg in Goldfish Chinese curry sauce with rice. Not really spicy enough, but still went down very well indeed  :D
Jelly and cream for pud.

Roast pork and extra crackling with homemade stuffing balls wrapped in bacon and fresh sage.
Our frozen last season roast potatoes and this years frozen parsnips.
Plenty of veg with the roast today;
Picked first lot of runner beans and first lot of hunter (helda) beans.
Picked french cobra beans, broad beans, baby patio carrots, turnips and peas.
Swapped some broad beans over the fence for a neighbour's cauliflower.

Bowls of raspberries and strawberries to pick at for afters. Drizzle of our home made yogurt over them.

Nothing bought (except from the Waitrose pig), perfect!

Greek Pastitsio last night and tonight will be pork schnitzel with salad and sauté potatoes.  Will  use home grown cucumber, the first of the many, but will have to have shop tomatoes as ours are all still green. Will  pick some salad leaves from the patio pot later.
