Elderflower champagne mouldy!
« on: July 09, 2013, 13:33 »
Can anyone help?
It's been in the sterilised bucket for a week. I had to add yeast as the was nothing happening ( using river cottage recipe). This morning I discovered blue mould on the surface. Is there anything I can do or should I throw it out? It's a real waste and the flowers are over now in my garden. It still smells nice and is doing some kind of fermenting thing but the mould is definitely the nasty kind you'd get on the top of jam. Thanks! If I do have to throw it out, what shall I make to put in the 16 pop top bottles I bought?!
