Title: Compost heap inhabitants,
Post by: Kleftiwallah on July 29, 2018, 14:12

Compost heap inhabitants in hot weather.  I don't know which 'beasties' are living in my compost heap, but during this hot weather, they have been gobbling up my offerings like crazy!

Cheers,  Tony.

I have the odd mouse in there when the heap is cold-ish, especially in the winter. I've also found a couple of slow worms when I've turned the heap.

Are there signs of nibbling or is it  case of the contents are rotting down really quickly?
