.... food processor! :)
My old one blew up in spectaculier fashion the other day. Frightened the beejesus out of me! Oh the smoke!!!!
I just took delivery of a shiny new one. It's sitting there waiting to perform miracles :D What to make ...... :tongue2:

Exciting, what one have you gone for & what did you make?

Kenwood multipro Classic with the blender

I know you will be too busy to see this for some time, CQ, but I do have slight processor envy right now!

Kenwood multipro Classic with the blender
My son and daughter-in-law bought the same one for me the Christmas before last, and it's in constant use. Everything fits on easily, it's easy to wash and simple to use. I love mine to bits, and I hope you enjoy yours too.

It's raining so,I am here again :D
I used it! Made apple cinammon scones. I was supposed to test out the slicer thingy but forgot . Doh! used the grater out the drawer :D. I made a choc avocado mousse but I think in hindsight I should have used the smaller bowl :nowink: I expect it will take some getting used to.
Good results anyway. Good job I ran today and yesterday to burn off the extra calories.

Do you find a food processor really helps with pastry/biscuit/crumble making when compared to the "by hand" methods? I tend to make quite a few crumble toppings and biscuits myself.
How much of an issue is the extra washing up?

I like the food pro for scones and making bread crumbs . Good for large quantity of if crumble mix, not too fine though! I like chunky bits in mine. Not just for bakes Mayo, mousse, breadcrumbs etc
The new machine parts go in the dishwasher. You don't have to use a food pro at all but they are jolly useful

I had a right kerfuffle with the new machine yesterday whilst attempting to use the mini bowl. Got all the messy ingredients for a choc avocado mousse in it and could n't get it to work. Emptied it, tried again after messing with the various components. No luck. I had several attempts, punctuated by a walk in the park with the whining dog, before finally regrouping for the final assault on the ruddy thing. Finally sorted it out and of,course it was crack-handed me at fault, naturally 😀🙄😙

But now you know what went wrong, it won't happen again, so all is good. Hope the end result was as scrummy as it sounded!

We bought that same one about 3 years ago, appart from grating carrot for salads, making breadcrumbs for fishing and the odd smoothy we don't really use it.
I must look up a few ideas as they're not cheap.
Any ideas?

I know! They walk!
I am getting used to my new machine now. Still not made bread yet. Made plenty of scones and today I made mayo in it. Made a couple of batches of choc mousse :tongue2:
My stand mixer is on it's way out I think. It won't turn off, which is a bit of a nuisance :D It was a freebie, given to me by my lovely neighbour years ago. A Russell Hobbs he got off ebay. They were so cheap he bought two. They were cheap for a reason. Still, it's served me well so can't complain.
