Before anyone asks, no he didn't just go to Scotland to take the cheese.   :tongue2:

Quite right. :) We can buy it here as implied by my earlier post. :D

On the cheese front, I won't make it to Tesco in time but have a fridge full already...  :nowink:

You don't expect my other half to do shopping do you?!!  He had about half a van load to take up with him.     Not all cheese though.   ::)

Thanks DD; was already going to Tessgo but wouldn't have looked out for it as I bought 2 last week on the BOGOF deal () so it's 3 for the freezer (never tried that before!)

An additional bonus was seeing Sheffield athlete Jessica Ennis poddling around with her trolley. I'd like to say she was as grumpy as hell and was bulk-buying cheap spirits and burgers but the contents of her trolley all looked very healthy and she also posed charmingly for a mum and her two kids who had spotted the poor girl.)  :)

Well worth the visit, cheese and and Jessica Ennis, a good trip in my books :D Does she live near you then?

I suppose she must do Jamie (I don't want you to get too excited but I forgot to mention that her jeans seemed to have been sprayed on!)

When I went to my local Tesco on Friday, I looked out for this but all I saw was that there seemed to be an unusually large amount of that particular cheese on the shelves at normal price. Perhaps its not so popular here.  Or perhaps the seemingly permanent "offer" of buy 2 x 500 gm own brand mature cheddar for £5 is more appealing. ::)

I appreciate that, but I was surprised that there seemed to be an unusually large amount of that cheese on the shelves, as though they had brought a load in for the offer which then didn't take off here. ::)

I also had it in the back of my mind that they might be running the offer on a different timescale here. ::)

They'll just re-run the offer if the cheese hangs about too long  ::) Gotta sell it somehow
