My blue slug pellets kill 'em dead but I always make sure that the beds are netted so that hedgehogs can't eat the slugs after.   

what if they crawl outside the net before dying?

I've seen less slugs & snails than usual. Am I being too optimistic in hoping that the very harsh winter might've done many of them in this year? Or are they just hiding somewhere and amassing troops for a targeted assault on my salad leaves?

i dug 20 yards over today and as always let the hens on to follow me.
quite surprised to see how many slug eggs were actually in the ground,hens sharp finished them off though lol.
