Safe tops for my canes and sticks???

if you have a clay pigeon shoting ground near you they wil give you hundreds of used cartridges for free .. " werks for me "

I can get hold from a local friendly store that sells shopping trolleys (the type old dears use!!) and they have little plastic tops that protect the axles for shipping - a friendly shop assistant saves them for me!! They look exactly like the can tops you actually buy......   I probably have a few hundred now...

I had a nice cold can of fosters this evening (the homebew isn't quite ready yet !) and inside was a little ball with a hole in the top and I think these will work quite well as cane toppers so I will have to drink lots to protect my eyes from all those canes
