Decided to finally enter the world of chicken keeping and set off to local farmers market.

Limited choice . No real point of lay to go for.

However returned home with 10 light sussex chicks.

initial  thoughts is 4 cocks 6 hens but will have to wait and see.

Hope we dont lose too many expecting maybe five to reach laying.

Price surprised me was thinking 50p each but all 10 for £1.70.

Off now to open up and let the lads n lasses out.
