Hi all,I need some help,  my rhubarb is flowering, as this is the first time its done this since ive had it do i let it flower or cut it off. Thanks

I have been told to cut as soon as the stalk is seen but if it has flowered then asap

Went to pick up my son from school today, and the school rubarb plant in the veg patch has two flower spikes around 5feet high with great plumes of dozens of small creamy white flowers. A bit like a giant astilibe, very pretty but probably not helping produce production. As an aside despite being a 50's wild child I had never seen a rubarb flower before in my life.

The flower heads are a bit like little cauliflowers, rather pretty but really do need to be cut off.
