Hi

Has any one got any recommendations for the best place to get layers pellets - the price has nearly doubled in the 18 months I've had my girls!

Saw them in a country store for £7 for £20kg - our local petshop is charging £18 for 20kg!!!!

Locally in Leicestershire, I'm paying £6.80 for Spillers GM free pellets.

I suppose it depends on where you live.  I don't know your area at all, but the £7 for 20kgs is pretty good, but £18?  that's disgraceful!!!

We sell a bag if anyone gets desperate for £6.50, but really we only buy for ourselves, but we get it straight from the mill so it is a little bit cheaper.

Obviously I wouldn't pay £18 for them! It's the sort of place they have the food in bins and you weigh out what you need - noticed a sign saying they would do a sack for £18.

Needless to say I have taken my business for all my other pet food elsewhere!!!

I get mine from the livestock market at Melton Mowbray and it is usually between  £6.25 - £6.80

I'm paying 7GBP for 25KG layers pellets, was quoted 15GBP for organic ... way too much of a premium for my liking.

Much cheaper than it is down here! £8 for layers pellets and £7.50 for mixed corn!
