Title: Watts Gallery
Post by: Gwiz on August 30, 2011, 17:44
Mrs Wiz and I have just been to the Watts Gallery near Godalming Surrey.
It's well worth a look if you are in the area, not stupidly expensive, and the artwork is very good.
Included in the price is a look around the Watts cemetery Chapel, just a few minutes walk down the road. Again, very detailed craftmanship.

What sort of artwork did Watt do?

G watt was mainly a painter but turned to sculpture in his 50's. His wife was quite involved in the arts and crafts movement. She too was a painter but is known as well for her very fine work with terracotta tiles (see the work on the chapel)
