can i give the chucks fruit ive looked in a hen keeping book i have and there is no mention about it only about veg.
i know some of you have given grapes to your chucks but is there any fruit they can not have

Don't feed them kiwi fruit it can kill them. Otherwise any fruit, but go easy with citrus.

thanks Nikkithefoot i was thinking more of apples bannanas plums grapes usual everyday fruit if there is such a think.

I think (not sure) that avocado`s are bad for chooks, also citrus fruits. As far as i know all british orchard fruit is fine as they were normally given  free range in them. Melon rinds and seeds are ok in moderation and i think grapes and raisins should only be fed to them in small amounts.

As for the more exotic fruit they do not get a chance here. :)
