Chook feed

Putting 5 chooks in ark on allotment . Can I feed small amounts of lucerne & vetches. They will be having corn as well.

yes you can lucerne is a nice food for all birds in seed as well as green parts . i am not so sure about vetches as the sweet pea is a vetch family and i believ it is poisonous . i may be corrected on this

I think Muntjack is right vetch is poisonous

I've have a few toxic plant in my garden like fox glove and lilly of the valley, but I find my hens don't touch them. Intelligent little birds
