yo where can i get some chickens searched everywhere around to get som chickens in my yard and cant get some..

anyone know where i can get chickens?

cambridgeshire. have looked on the net and havent seen a thing also looking for a pig or two. just moved into a huge house with a really big back garden out in the countryside.

what are you looking for in chickens mate . a great magazine is the
 " country smallholding "

they have a list of suppliers of all types of stock in he back pages .its £3 a copy from newsagents

welsummers and buff orpington bantams will raise them a decent cockerel for the breeding of them will be fine i run them

Is there a local farmers market near you?  I got 2 from one near me today (Penkridge, Staffs.) - £1.50 each, and that was quite pricey because there were a lot of people there.  Also got 2 dozen fertile eggs for £1.  Feel like a right idiot for paying £10 on Ebay!

Karl, are your Welsummers crosses or pure breed?
