This is a really basic question and I 'have' done a search but it seems the search isn't working right now since it asks if I've forgotton to type words in the box ?!

Anyway, what's the difference/advantage/disadvantage of putting a shed onto a nice flat layer of flags versus just corner flags or the 'perimeter' of the shed for it to stand on, with earth in the middle?

I have a new one to put up and I thought I had to flag the whole area under the shed...

But, the old one that's coming down is just raised on a few bricks/stones at each corner!  (And it's been up 10+ years)

It's a 10x8 shed, going to be used for the kids rather than storage of tools.

With doing the stabs at each corner the shed isnt supported in the middle and will sag in the middles, with doing the slabs with soil in the middle will cause damp , id lay the hole base in slabs but again with such a big shed thats alot of slabs, the cheaper way is to lay the sand base put a sheet over the sand , lay your slabs so the shed is in the middle of the slabs and fill the centre with ROUND 20mm gravel or concrete
