Yep, it grows up here in our mountain streams.

I wonder if anyone knows what this is? I have an idea but I don't think it can be right. The plant grows on the (Atlantic) shore and I took this photo at the end of September, but I've only just got around to taking some pics off my phone.... 

Any ideas would be much appreciated. 

Looks like water cress to me as well.
