The great escapee.
« on: March 10, 2012, 19:14 »
I have one black chook, who thinks the grass is greener on the other side of the five foot plus fence that surrounds their run. Actually, their run is grass free at the moment, so I CAN see the attraction of a large field. Anyway, I digress. Today was about the fourth or fifth time she has escaped, but I have always managed to coax her back inside with treats. I tried this afternoon, but she didnt want to know. With this in mind, I went out in the darkness to put the boys (the goats) to bed and shut the chooks house up.
There was no sign of Miss Black, so I assumed she was in the barn. There was no way I was going to hunt her down and try to get her back in. Well, I shut the little hole up of the chook house, then lifted the roof. There perching next to her sister was Miss Black. Little minx, Ill never worry about her again!!

She obviously knows where she is better off.  Mine tend to escape but have no idea how to get back in their enclosure.  ::)
