One of my girls has gone missing

Hi Everyone
Im afraid the news isnt good, no sign of my Doris anywhere, the neighbours have all joined in the search for her but to no avail. I can only assume that she is lost for good, I kept my other new girl in all day and let the marans out to play, I don't know what happened to her, maybe a fox?
Thanks for your kind support, sorry I didnt log on earlier but with a chicken search, a five month old daughter and a husband with a broken leg I have been a bit busy!

oh dear, don't lose hope altogether, Pauline turned up after 3 days and i didn't know she was still alive.

My flo-jo was away for 3 days too.....and I only had a tiny garden. She may be around. I will x everything for you!

Hi everyone, Im afraid Doris is still awol, I think it is looking more likely that Mr Fox may have got her or she has flown off and got lost. I have kept the other girls in the hen house untill the new girl gets used to her house etc. Some good news, my fantastic hubby arranged for the farmer to bring me a new girl, he turned up at our front door with a chuck under his arm! I feel a bit mean replacing poor doris so soon but I guess it is better to let the girls get used to one another asap and get the pecking bit out of the way.

It is such a shame chickyroo, but unfortunately these things do happen.
