Fruit tree suppliers - recommendations please.

I am looking to purchase a dessert fruit Damson tree for a small garden.

Do you have a favourite reputable supplier for fruit trees or is it best to go local and visit a supplier?

Well this may not be much use to you Kirpi but may be of  interest to those in the SouthEast.

Brogdale is having it's plum day on Sunday 11th August.

A lot of our allotment holders get their fruit trees and raspberries from Brogdale.

We have always had great service and good plants from R V Roger in Pickering.  They are on the web and do mail order.

Mailordertrees send beautiful trees. They are a little more expensive than some, but I have been very happy with everything that I have had from there (trees and fruit bushes).

I've got all my fruit bushes and tree from Blackmoor, brilliant customer service as well as good products.

I'll be trying Brogdale for trained trees.

I've used http://www.keepers-nursery.co.uk/ in the past and been very pleased with the trees they've sent.

ive used keepers, blackmoor and buckingham nurseries and found all to be excellent.
i would get a tree bare root in the winter they always get away better.fruit trees in garden centers are usually pot bound and they will try and fob you off with the wrong variety and/or rootstock to get rid of them.
do your homework select the variety and rootstock you require first.
