today sent hubby off to work without his pud so thought i would suprise him with one of his favourites the abouve bakewell tart , all went well did pastry perfect made up the almond mix went well popped into the case , almonds on the top in the oven it came out i let it cool and drizzled some icing over it , after tea i cut into it only to find my mixture had seperated almonds on top and an eggy mix on the bottom just dont know where i went wrong , been over the recipie and i didnt put a foot wrong. >:( im cross with myself  any ideas please

my recipe has flour in with almonds and egg, so doesn't split..does your recipe?

no it didnt have flour in it , i thought it funny at the time , the other recipie i have used did have a little flour in it do you think there could be a mistake in the recipie  ?

some of the recipes on Google don't have flour in, but I've never tried one without it.

i checked the recipie from the other book that i used last time and there wasent flour
 in that either so i dont know wat caused it , it just looks like a cross between bakewell and an egg custard
