Made these tonight - omg - they're soooo easy, must be cheaper than the supermarket ones too, kids absolutely loved them - and my boys are the fussiest!
350g SR flour
50g fine polenta (cornmeal)
2 tbs oil
pinch salt
sufficient boiling water to make a soft dough

Bung it all together, let it cool a bit, knead onto a floured board and roll out fairly thinly

Cook on a very hot griddle or heavy frying pan UNGREASED for 1 or 2 minutes on each side

very similar to chapatis, but really yummy
You could add dried chilli flakes or peppercorns for extra zing
made about 7 medium sized

mmmmmmm, I likes the sound of that! I can imagine them cooked, spread with a layer of hummus, then some fried onion, red pepper and garlic, grated cheddar and a spot of yog. Mmmmmmmmm
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required

Oops didn't see this. I make flatbreads, sometimes several times a week.

225 gm plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
140 ml ish hot water. Not an exact measurement - may take a little more - and yes newly boiled kettle is fine.

Whizz ingredients together until they form a dough ball. Tip out onto a floured board and knead lightly. Wrap tightly in clingfilm and rest for at least half an hour (this will keep in the fridge fine until the next day). Divide into 6 for small breads or 4 for larger ones, roll out on a floured board and cook in a hot dry frying pan.

You can add chopped fresh herbs, or seeds to the dry mix for flavour and although I have a proper naan recipe involving yeast, I adapt this recipe to make a quick version which is a lot more yummy than the plastic wrapped supermarket ones. Just substitiute yoghurt for the water and add a couple of tsps of Nigella seeds at the dry mix stage.

Haven't bought wraps in a very long time!
