You could do. 

I did do..  :) He was a bit lethargic, I cut him down to 300ml in total and add a stiff paste of flour / water.  He fits in a large mayonnaise jar now and it very active.

I might see if I can find a recipe for making a s.d. loaf in the breadmaker tomorrow.

You could use the breadmaker to knead the dough, but it needs to stand for a long time to develop the yeast and the sourdough flavour  :)

Depends what you had for lunch  ;)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Just done my first loaf.

After a bit of googling I came up with

300g White flour
150g starter
salt - little bit
butter - big dollop
150g water

Put the lot in the BM (panasonic 255) on French Dough.
Left overnight (probably just less than doubled in size)
Bake only - 55mins

It doesn't look too bad, a bit flatter than a normal loaf and maybe a bit more solid. Think I should have scored the top as it formed a big air pocket - but not bad for a first attempt.
