I am thinking of buying something like this, are they any good. It might not be the one in the picture I buy, so I am looking for any thoughts on what other people have bought.

you do realise that the ebay auction is only for a cover - not the frame?

They are called blowaways because they do, and the covers don't last -in my experience, more than a couple of years.
If you can tie or fix them down very well, in a protected area, they can be useful in providing protection for seedlings early in the year.

I bought a culticave, which comes with a mesh door as well as plastic, lots of pegs and guy ropes. It is fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for when you don't have space for a greenhouse.
Having said that, I didn't look after it or take it down when I should have in late October, and the high winds at the end of the year ripped one of them to shreds.
I got an 8'x6' glass greenhouse for £40 on ebay...it needs a bit of work, but even after that it will outlast the plastic.

ok I just put mine up for a few weeks on a sheltered patio to bring on my seedlings its great because it packs away to nothing no good for anything more long term

Can I ask what did you buy?

The two I had on my allotment blew away (Check out my Diary to see the types )
The plastic split on the Greenhouse shaped one next to the shed long before it blew away
I picked up a short two tier one from Argos in the sale last year for about £13 and it's still up in the back garden.
I picked up 3No four Tier Green Houses from ASDA last year at £5 each at the end of the season and I'm going to use one clad in the second hand greenhouse I've just got and the framing from the others as staging.
Definitely worth shopping around or picking up in the sales at the end of the season

I had 3 of the little 3/4 tier ones, weighted down with planks and blocks of concrete at the bottom, and clipped together using clamps at the top, and still had them blow over in the garden (until I added more planks, more concrete and more clips).

I've had one of the 4-tier ones for years now. Always tie it to a drainpipe - weights at the bottom won't hold it down in really strong gusts. The cover needs replacing every couple of years, and I used sellotape round the metal frame's corners before first use - it stops it rusting and the plastic coming off as quickly as it might otherwise do.

Mine like the left picture a friend gave it to me and OH bought me the cover for Christmas. I also tie it to a down pipe :lol:
