Right then, ill roder just the one red currant plant :)

Does anyone know if tayberries and logoanberries can be used in jam, and whats the differance bettween them? :)

Yet again I had both of these in my Davey's Delight jam. :D  I told you it was a mix of all I had left at the time.  I have some tayberry jam in if you want to try some.  Loganberries are lovely too.

I believe that these are a hybrid cross between a raspberry and blackberry. Tayberries are sweeter and can be eaten as they are and loganberries are a bit tarter but can add a nice edge to your jam.

Just a quick question about my post before. Should I put in one or two bushes per ring, and how much spacing per bush is needed??

I'm hoping to get down at the weekend to do everything and at 'No Frills' (Focus DIY 'cast-off' ) we have here, they have black, red and whitecurrant bushes in, and 'Josterberry' bushes  ???,
but it doesn't state the spacing.

Or the variety  ??? How much does this matter?

I've bought many a jam jar online and unless you order in bulk it can be costly.  Have a look in the supermarket for ridiculously cheap jam.  Throw out the manky contents and use the jar.  Cheaper that new.  But cheapest of all is collecting used ones.

I quite like "The Jam Jar Shop" online for labels.
Cheese makes everything better.
