Squash!
« on: April 06, 2020, 09:39 »
Hi All,

I'm in Leeds, Yorkshire and wondering when everyone will be sowing their squashes/courgettes? Early/mid/late April or even May? I've gone a bit mad this year and got 12 different varieties to grow! :-)

Planting out time up here is usually the start of June.  If you don't have a greenhouse then I'd probably wait until about the 3rd week in April.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Suppose we are similar this side of the pennines.
I normally sow with the aim of planting out late May, so generally sow late April.
No point in rushing them more so courgettes, you will be sick of them after two weeks!
