Once the door is open and wedged on the top of the pallet the whole thing is quite sturdy though!

The photo needs to be attached to this thread.
As stated in the rules, voting will not take place until 24th May, when a poll will be created from the entrants. There may be many photos none of us have seen yet, so it's only fair to judge when you've seen them all.

Aunt Sally, your picture just reminded me of some amazing houses on the island of Madeira. They were really spacious surprisingly. I'm 6'3 tall and could stand up in then and they even had a second storey in some.
-
You're right. I've been to Madeira and I'd forgotten them. :D
-
Found one

-
Thats them Aunt Sally, I loved them, the gardens were like mine, all planted with veggies too, hehehe :)
Loved the island, the flora and fauna was amazing. I wish we imported their banana here, they are so sweet and tasty.
-
We loved the levada walks. Had to have a good head for heights though
-
Unfortunately, I didn't get to do them as had a wheelchair bound travelling companion. But did get to look over some of the cliffs and over some of the gorges! WOW. Being so tall I naturally have a good head for heights hehehe

It needs a name
One or two have already said it looks like a Tardiss so perhaps that will do. Bye the bye Aunt Sally I have at last sorted out the sizing and posting of photos

I like it, you've gotta call it that.

Come on every one - More photo's of amazing constructions needed :!:
-
Unfortunately, the only constructions I've made are far from amazing and I don't know of anyone else's I can photograph.
Must be terminal modesty stopping people posting because there must be some more sheds and lean-tos about.
Rob
-
It doesn't have to be one YOU'VE built Rob, just one you've taken a picture of :!:
-
I'll have a hunt through the photos and see what I can find.
Can't think of anything of hand. Maybe something ironic 8)

Ironic :?: Try the Iron bridge near Telford:wink:
-
Everything's wooden round here !

I am sure you can Stump up something

Now that looks impressive but I don't think I'd be able to fool anyone it's in a garden. Unless I can photoshop it

Rob
what about your hen house rob? I seem to remember it being rather impressive!
-
 gosh thanks.
Having seen some of the others, it's not really 'up there'.
..and I did wonder if it might be a bit too 'chickeny' after the last compo. I think this one needs more sheds and gardening things.
I was going to make a herb container but I don't think I could manage it before the closing date. But i might try anyway.

'Cluckingham Palace'
Took several weeks, a few trips to the timber merchant and a whole lot of naughty words.
...and the roof leaked first time it rained :?
Rob
-
So you're a born handyman then, Rob ?
-
poultrygeist - that looks rather professional :)
-
You're both very kind, thank you.
It does look ok from several yards. But I would do things VERY differently second time round. Having seen some others, I can see better designs and methods. I wish I'd actually planned it rather than make it up as I went along. Ho hum. We live and learn.

That is indeed mummy of your little chick!! She is currently undecided whether to be broody or not.
I was holding alvin - her husband the other day and one of the neighbours saw him head on over the fence and obviously said the first thing that came into her head - 'ohhhhh - is that a pet monkey??'
I can see what she means with colour and fluffiness - evidently us having a pet monkey would not be a surprise to the neighbours (and they are the ones we are getting pigs with!! )

Thats ok Aunt Sally I realised afterwards that entries had closed and I also think most of the photos in the gallery are better.
But this photo makes me laugh every time I look at it.

Where did you take that picture. It looks very dangerous to me

It's outside my mates house
Kowalski and Wiśniewski, the builders started renewing the roof in February but work is now suspended until Kowalski (the roofer) has the pins removed from his femur.
They are very cheap, their work is excellent and i'm assured that they are usually reliable.

I don't know why, apparently he was on his way to college to pick up his IOSH Diploma when some idiot knocked him off his moped.

Wow  untill you explained that, I thought he had fallen of the scaffolding, It dose not look very substantial, not like the stuff I used to see in my working life. H S E would have a field day if an accident did happen.

That structure is why they are cheap, a Brittish firm would not dare to errect it I think a building inspector would condem it out of hand.

"a Brittish firm would not dare to errect it"
Hang on Kowalski and Wiśniewski are cousins and British born and bred, their grandfather was a spitfire pilot during WW2 prior to that he worked in the circus.
-
A lot of Polish people came over here in the war and many gave their lives as well. Worth thinking on.
-
I worked with 2 Poles when I started out. One British born, one a wartime immigrant.
Was it the Battle of Britain film that had the Polish squadron in ?
-
Yes, the training squadron that went into battle against the poor wingco's orders. It's the bit when he realises they've all gone off to attack the Nazis and says "Oh Hell!"
-
Hilarious. I could watch that film every Sunday afternoon.
I used to love listening to the Polish engineer at work on the phone to his brother. It was just absolute rubbish he spoke. All w's and s's. With the odd English word thrown in. Brilliant engineer.

Our neighbour was Polish chap. He was going a bit senile but would tell us of his childhood, stealing food from dead bodies to survive. Heartbreaking.
Mind you, when I go through the town centre and they're all chatting in those Eastern European languages I feel like I'm James Bond on a mission in Russia. Oh, OK - more George Smiley than 007
-
We are supposedly 25% Eastern European here but I have serious doubts.
It does make it seem slightly more cosmopolitan. And they're the only ones with some money to spend. It is nice not to have to listen to mundane conversations when you can pretend they're speaking about something more exotic than the weather. :)
Rob
Off to dream of foreign parts.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
-
We had a leaflet sent home a few months ago from my daughters Infant School offering Polish lessons for English speaking families of students.
We could have understood those conversations and discovered they were talking about our carp weather!!!

I was thinking of using this budget scaffold as a whisteria support but i'm not sure it would take the weight.

They are very cheap, their work is excellent and i'm assured that they are usually reliable.
Hold hard there, I was not knocking their Nationality It would not have mattered if they were pink with blue spots on They were still not using a regulatory structure.

 But I haven't quite got the knack of rigging the votes yet

Have a word with ITV. They (possibly) do a grand job of it (allegedly), but probably not because they're a reputable company and it's all lies (does that make it legal?)

Rob
no, just less likely to get sued.
-
They made me say it. The chickens told me to do it. There's a man lives under our shed who swore it was true.
Ant and Dec are honest, law abiding citizens who love everybody.
And I refuse to believe all the bad publicity they, or any representative of ITV, may have had.
Better ?

I'm working on rigging the votes though
