Baby emu surprises chicken breeder
Last Updated: Friday, 06 June 2008, 06:15 GMT

An emu egg bought by a chicken breeder on holiday caught her by surprise when it hatched into a chick.
Gillian Stone, 47, from Bexhill, East Sussex, purchased three large green emu eggs which were being sold at £10 each as luxury food items at a farm on the Isle of Wight.
if it grows, it grows! if it doesnt ,, ah well .. there's always next year. :-)

It's the only way you can get the "men" to see sense

and don't they all come round eventually,

once you make them think it was their idea to begin with

Do I detect a slight undercurrent of sarcasm towards us blokes ?

Excuse me, but I live here, and I can't think of anywhere on the Island that has Emus, Alpacas yes, we have a farm of them in the West Wight (Foreign lands), but Emus, no.  Even the Zoo doesn't have them.  I am prepared to stand corrected.
