I have just picked my first 3, they are lovely and ripe and I am pleased, as I thought that was quite early for outdoors. - Little things please little minds   :lol:Mrs Bouquet

Been picking greenhouse tomatoes for a month now.  The ones outside in the front garden are turning red, but those in the back garden are still green.

Well done.

Hi

I have been eating cherry tomatoes from outside for the last month or so, so far only had 2 larger moneymakers ripen ....... but a few others are starting to go.

I was really please as everyone told me not to expect anything till August  :)

Had a tomato each tonight as a 'starter' from Gardner's Delight on the patio in a pot. The ones in the greenhouse (Shirley) are only just beginning to bud up.  The other ones outside of which I have no idea  what they are are covered in a variety of green tomatoes of all sizes. My cucumbers (in the greenhouse are only just about in flower, very dissapointed).

My 24 outdoor tomatoes are no more!!  :(

Last week-end I cleared the lot as they had blight - yet again this year!!  :(
Up until the Thursday before they looked lovely with fruit setting too then... tell tale signs and darkening stems and blemished fruit...

I give up with outside tomatoes on the plot after three years of blight.  >:(
