The tab keeps 'pinging' and highlighting new mail and then when I look, there isn't any..   
Anyone know what's going on/how to fix it?

Not seen that before - unless there's an unread email at the bottom of your inbox that you haven't read? Or in junk?

I can't see an unread one anywhere  The annoying thing is it only started happening when I changed from IE to Edge because some places no longer support IE  *grumble grumble*

Hello my outlook email tells me that theres emails I click on the top where it says newer  older the newer emails come on ,it might say filters that also brings emails up  jezza
