Hi everyone
I have an allotment thats covered in moss, possibly due to me weed killing last year the entire plot to get rid of mares tail.
I have read that Jeyes fluid or washing up liquid will do it has anybody tried any of these methods

Moss favours poorly drained, poorly nourished, and somewhat acid conditions (although it will grow almost anywhere given half a chance.)

Best to concentrate on those possible causes rather than trying to nuke the problem away, otherwise it will just return.

Never heard of washing up liquid as a moss killer, and Jeyes Fluid will do much more harm than good to your soil organisms.

Hello it depends on the type of moss if it's like lawn moss try 1/4 oz of sulphate of iron to a gallon of water to 5 square yards if it's a looser type it might take off or rotavate in.  jezza
