point of lay ???

At what age should I be looking for when I start looking for my hens ?
Should think they wont start laying until they are settled into their new home?
Im eager to get started but have to wait for the back garden to get sorted - the builder is coming to look next week, then I can crack on

Point of Lay is about 24 weeks, mine took a week or two to settle down before the eggs started.

Hens which are sold as POL are often about 12 to 16 weeks old, but as Richy said they may not come into lay until about 24 weeks.

My girls were about 24 weeks before the laid too.
