Unripe Butternut Squash

My butternut squashes are still green. Should I leave them on to ripen (at the risk of the slugs eating them) or can I pul some off now and put them on the greenhouse bench to ripen?
Are you looking for an allotment (full or to share) in South East Sheffield. PM me for details.

I'm the same .

Really late with the Squash.

But apparently we're going to have an Indian Summer this September so they should be huge and ripen well !!

Yeah Right.
