Been randomly flicking through the pages, the one that made us laugh the most was 'chicken fry Iced Tea'!  Might have a problem reducing the amounts to more suitable for the two of us!!! :D

Hi Fred, I don't suppose you have 300 fish recipes too do you?  Brian and I are trying to eat more fish, but he only seems to like it in parsley sauce!!!

Val does a lovely fish pie and a creamy rice kedgeree type dish - you'll have to ask her how though.

I also make a lovely fish pie John, but its done in a white sauce too, is Val's?

Not sure about kedgeree, I've got a recipe, but never tried it, it's traditionally a breakfast dish isn't it?

Val's is very much a dinner dish but its not strictly a kedgeree. How's he like his fish in batter with chips and mushy peas? Haute cuisine!

my favourite fish dish --put a tin of chopped tomatoes in a pan with some thyme, salt, pepper and a bit of sugar bring to the boil and simmer for 10 mins to reduce liquid. put fish (cod or haddock) in an oven proof dish and season, spoon over tomato mix and sprinkle with grated cheese and crushed crisps and bake in the oven :D

Thanks Diane, hey I've hijacked Fred's post, perhaps I should have made this a separate one for fish??? lol

Brian does like his fish in batter with chips and peas John, but since his swine flu, when he lost a stone in weight, he is being very good and has now lost 2 stone!!!
