Pest controll
« on: May 18, 2020, 13:36 »
Hello I am new to this forum actually to forums in general but would like to know how people deal with voles and mice in the garden/polytunnel. I had my caulis and sprouts seedlings raised to the ground! Help

I have always thought that losing the odd few to mice voles a balance of nature. BUT this year the balance seems to have tipped in their favour. all peas eaten before germination and loads of holes and runs in the garden. I have been thinking of traps under some cover to stop any birds getting caught.

Thanks I try and use trapps only in the polytunnel, but may have to resort to put them everywhere. Has anyone tried watering with minttea and other smelly things?
