our lovley toms are ripening with yellow blotches on them and they are ripening unevenly, what did i do and can i rectify it .

carnt do anything about the heat as we are having a heatwave this summer and only got a little potash left , is there another solution as an alternative  :?:

burn some wood on a fire .tree branches etc nothing containing chemicals .then rake it up sieve it to remove any lumps hand sprinkle some on the toms and water . :wink:

we use the stuff from our bbq as we dont have a working fire , looks like hubby will have to fire up the old barbi.

Be careful with BBQ ash as coal ash is not good compared with wood ash.

hubby uses a combination af wood and nrws paper to get it going along wjth the charcole , as charcole is wood i didnt think there would be any probs  :?

You should have no problems with the ash from wood, paper and conventional charcoal - spread away  :)
