There appears to be a lot of something going around at the moment  :( Chicken soup and bed rest time?

I'm considering some roast lamb ftf , mash and veggies or a massive pile of scrambled eggs on toast-  it's comfort food weather.   :tongue2:

I found a couple of thick cuts of lamb rump, welded together in the freezer, so they're defrosting. Think I'll go full roast dinner, this evening, despite the heat  :)

Hope you feel better today Snowdrop.   Your easy meal sounded hardwork to me !!   After lugging the very heavy leaf vac round the garden and getting filthy and dusty.  I couldn't be bothered, so it was cheese on toast with Dijon mustard spread on before the cheese.    Now thats easy  8)  Mrs Bouquet

Ahh yes Mrs B cheese on toast would have been a tad easier but there was a packet of chicken fillets in tge fridge & hubby did that & the wedges so a salad was all that was required of me.
Today I’ve made carrot & coriander soup for lunch for me that hubby turned his nose up & we’ve decided on a pressure cooker stew with the braising steak I took out last night, that should be easy enough what’d yah reckon plus there might be enough for 2 days as usual. By then a trip to the shops might be in order for fresh supplies  :)

A Lard approved dinner  :D

Also works with wholegrain mustard or Worcestershire sauce and for when you're feeling really down - bovril.   ;)

Pork chops, new potatoes and roasted med veg.  Smells lovely.    I have overdosed though on Island  cherries from the farm at Godshill who sell them at the farm gate.

I am with you on that one.  If I had anything like that near me I would look like a cherry by now

I got called into work unexpectedly this morning - 1 minute loafing with a coffee, next dashing around to get ready and get in as the manager that morning had walked into carnage.   Tea ended up as burgers, fries and onion rings from work, plus some hm coleslaw.  I have bought cherries home as well as a treat for later.  I bet they won’t be half as nice as yours Wighty, but any cherries are better than no cherries in my book  ;)

2 tree and if for 4 years (could be more) I've never manged to get a single cherry - I'm informed by the local wildlife they're very nice though.  :nowink:

Might try again with the lamb today, I was pushed for time yesterday and ended up with the scrambled eggs. It's time I had something from the green food group and there's a savoy looking sorry for itself in the fridge.
