I've got an apple tree that produces good size bright red fruit, when you bite into them their are red flecks all through the inside, anyone got any ideas.

Sounds a bit odd but the best I can suggest is Bess Pool, lesser options  of  Beauty of Bath, Discovery and Devonshire Quarrendon.

Problem is none are really described as speckled. Bess Pool is described as:: FLesh: White sometimes tinged red.

I also have the Brogdale reference but with 2000+ listed and the info is brief I am not going to read all entries.

You may be able to email Brogdale and ask if they have any idea.

Sounds like Beauty of Bath - can you post a picture of the inside of the apple so we can see.
Good luck
