I've stumbled accross this and wondered if anyone had used one before. It looks very posh!
What do you think?

I haven't got one but on this web site it says it will hold 12 chicks (and it's cheaper!)

Sorry, but there is no way that will hold 12 two week old chicks, unless they are quail or serama I would have thought!

I agree, too small, 48cms wide wouldn't take 12 chicks for 2 weeks!

It's not much use then is it? What would you do with the chicks after 2 weeks? Put them in an ordinary brooder? If that's the case it seems a little pointless to me.

here is one on ebay (cheaper) but they would only be in it for a week maximum so why bother - for the same cost you could get a Brinsea electric hen and panels.

Staffies are softer than you think.

Hi

You don/t need to spend that sort of money on a brooder, I bought an indoor rat/rabbit cage from a car boot sale - £4.00 and a lamp that was cheep. It is easy to clean and you can see what the chicks are up to and it is draft free. :D
