feather eating is usually a sign they they are missing something in their diet, Usually Protein, but could be something else.

Having said that since only 1 is doing it, it could be something Else Entirely! Maybe one of the other members could shed more light on it..

Our black rock keep chewing her own feathers.  I think it's probably boredom as she'd like to be outside more, free-ranging.  But it could be protein deficiency.  I thought I'd try a bit of cat or dog food.  Might help yours too.  If she's only picking up discarded feathers, then it might just be calcium or protein missing from her diet...maybe she likes the taste? :tongue2:  Hope someone has a more helpful answer! Good luck.
