Title: chicken with sore skin

one of my girls has moulted but shes never really grown back any nice feathers , and her skin has seemed really red in places { i'e her back an underneath } the other day even though the sand bath was damp she was going crazy in it rolling an everything . i havent noticed her pruning herself or scartching . will get pics tomorrw weather permitting  .
any ideas ? please

and yes they have been dusted for mites .

Hi Karlooben, we have used dermasol on the sore skin on our chucks (ammonia burns on their bare bum,tums and breasts!). My mate says it is the best as it soothes and gently sloughs off the dead skin. Don't use teatree as it is too strong and will sting. Nic.

thanks for that nic , i will pick some up tomorw hopfully tesco's mite sell it , if not then it will have to wait tell monday .
