I grew Gladiator last year and got a few monsters as well. Haven't dug up any from this year yet to see how they've done.

Mud and leaves   Well it is better than it sounds as the mud came on spuds and the leaves are all fresh homegrown veg for us to eat this week  :D

The spuds are Kifli.  I planted them in spring, they sulked through the drought, started growing in August when the rain arrived and eventually came good.  This lot were from 4 plants and I have more to dig up.

The greens from the left - red cabbage (Kalibos), perpetual spinach and then broccolli raab.

I harvested a Florence fennel to give to my daughter today.
I’ve been pulling some lovely carrots & a few mange tout, there’s still flowers on them so I don’t know how they’ll fare with this cold we’re supposed to be getting. I also had a cabbage in the week & some turnips

On what might best be described as a 'minging' December afternoon, small red cabbage, baby leeks, swiss chard and carrots which combined with red pepper, mushroom, ginger and home dried chilli, made a very acceptable stir fry to accompany grilled fish and rice.

Christmas carrots, (pictured), parsnips & sprouts. Brought home the Christmas spuds (Valour) from the shed.

Just got the herbs to harvest and then all the veg matter on the Christmas dinner is home grown.

Well done that man  :D

I've got mine as well for the big day - spuds, cabbage, autumn leeks, greens, squash, salad and herby bits  :)
