pH for Runner beans

:? What is the best soil pH for runner beans?
Somewhere I saw anything above 6 so I assumed neutral would be OK.

Suddenly today I saw pH 5-6 ......... quite on the acid side.
And that is why I'm :?

What do you experienced plotters say, please?

I dont think you really need to worry about ph unless you have extremes in ph, mine is neutral and they go mad and I always get good crops, to be honest the plants I look at when it comes to ph is the brassicas but this really is only because of clubroot.

dont know about the ph but one thing they do like is a trench filled with manure/compost and keep em well watered

I have the manured composted bed waiting and on Monday after the rain there will be 32 nice strong Enormas going in, 2 for each of Munty's danglers :roll:
